I have been training dogs since 1992. I began learning about dog behavior and
training when I obtained my Border Collie, Sarah. I attended dog training classes with Sarah and the other dogs that
subsequently joined my family. I participated in Obedience Competition for several years, and my dogs earned titles
from both the United Kennel Club and the American Kennel Club.
I attended a clicker training seminar in 1994 where I learned about how to train dogs
without using force or pain. That experience set my feet on the path that I now follow.
As a volunteer for the Michigan Humane Society's Pet Education Center, I taught group
dog training classes and gave private dog training 2001 through 2007.
I have taught hundreds of dog/handler teams. I have also trained chickens, cats, and most
recently, a fish!
