I will teach you to train your dog using reward
based methods which utilize the science of Operant Conditioning. This type of training is sometimes referred to
as Clicker Training or Positive Reinforcement. Instead of punishing your dog for undesirable behaviors, you
will learn to replace unwanted behaviors with more desirable ones. The training is done without use of physical
force.
You will learn how to communicate
clearly with your dog through use of a signal which tells your dog that a particular behavior will be rewarded. You will
also learn techniques to manage your dog's environment to prevent unwanted behaviors.
The focus of the training is
on helping dogs make appropriate choices and rewarding those choices with whatever the dog desires most. With
repetition, these "good" behaviors will become habit and "bad" behaviors will be eliminated.
